Digital Marketing Internship Grant

We are seeking a digital marketing coordinator and executive assistant to contribute to the success of current clients and create ways of reaching more clients. If you have a passion for marketing and want to have a hand in every level of Client development from using web based tools a project through coordinating and contributing to execution, while learning from industry leaders, this is a role for you. You will contribute to the development and execution or integrated digital marketing campaign across social media, email, digital ad platforms, CRM’s, online store and more, with the leadership and collaboration of our suppliers, environmental leaders and industrial associations. We’re looking for someone with a “get-it-done” positive attitude and a “we win together, learn together” mindset. Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the BNAC’s key messages, audiences, and competitors
  • Work with BNAC to craft a comprehensive social media strategy, email marketing strategy, and digital ad strategy, that is in line with the brand’s key objectives
  • Consider channel-specific strategies for social media (i.e. YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.)
  • Define a brand tone and voice for the brand’s social media accounts
  • Plan and create content calendars (organic) and digital ad campaigns (paid), keeping in mind the overarching marketing strategy and plan
  • Define requirements and direct production of visual content
  • Contribute to website strategy and the web design process, working with the team to ensure its integration with the broader digital campaign (to maximize results)
  • Oversee digital community engagement and ensure timely response to questions and comments on all social media platforms
  • Analyze and report on metrics / KPIs to the Brand Strategist
  • Analyze performance reports provided by Ad Buyers to extrapolate insights, recommend campaign improvements, and implement them efficiently
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients
  • Create and adhere to project timelines
  • Capture and summarize marketing requirements and objectives
  • Communicate proactively, clearly and professionally with team and clients

Tools you will use:

  • All relevant social media platforms used in North America
  • Content planning – Microsoft Office, or GSuite
  • Content scheduling – Hootsuite, Later, etc
  • Email marketing – MailChimp

Skills we’re looking for:

  • Superior project management, time management skills, and a drive to execute efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident and professional presentation skills in front of clients and senior team
  • A love for brand building in both the B2B and B2C markets – we don’t just do retail and lifestyle brands so you must have a love for business
  • Knowledge/passion for industry trends so you can bring new and fresh ideas of how to utilize each platform most effectively
  • Understanding of digital advertising campaign best practices and industry benchmarks (no work experience required)

Nice to have, but not necessary: 

  • Post-Secondary Education
  • Formal marketing / advertising education
  • Experience managing school projects
  • Volunteer leadership positions in School Marketing Associations, Student Body, etc.

Job Type:

  • This is a paid internship (30-40hours/week)
  • Through COVID, primarily remote work, with occasional meetings at Coquitlam and or Delta Office
  • As COVID safety recommendations allow, this will be an in-agency role
  • Start Date: September 2021
