Senior Brand Strategist

We are seeking a Freelance Senior Brand Strategist to support Canada, developing strategies, which get to dealer sales situation and demands as much as to the core of the brand issue and defining the communications task to inform, inspire and guide world class creative solutions that effectively improve our Clients business.
They will work closely with an integrated team spanning multiple disciplines including Account, Creative, Strategy, Media, Analytics, Social. And work under the direction of the Group Strategy Director and leadership of the Group Business Director.
In this role you will…
Understand our Client’s business challenges, objectives and targets.
Collect, read, analyze, interpret and synthesize information from a variety of sources and develop strategic insights and points of view.
Develop research objectives and manage the research process in collaboration with Business Leads.
Direct creativity through clear, inspirational and informative creative briefs.
Partner with the Creative department, providing insights, and inspiration.
Use research and knowledge-based expertise to measure, assess and refine creative work for maximum impact and effectiveness.
Work with business and media teams to develop customer journeys and design integrated engagement plans – across Broadcast, Experiential, Social, Digital and beyond.
Proactively seek opportunities to bring forward new approaches, best practices, concepts and ideas to help build clients’ business.
Manage projects collaboratively with Hudson Rouge Canada team to win client trust and confidence every day.
Forge strong relationships with integrated agency teams to gain strategic, creative and communications alignment and execution.
Maintain and support all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System.
Support/facilitate the mandatory adherence to ISO9001 requirements, processes and procedures.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
5 to 7 years of classic brand planning experience, and digital/social savvy.
A real love, passion for cars and convincing knowledge about the auto industry (including Tier 3 Dealers) OR have worked in Canada on luxury brands for 5-7 years.
Passionate self-starter who is confident about creating the best work possible, while open to dialogue and feedback.
Strong team player with natural ability to work with multi-disciplinary team towards a common goal.
Excellent communicator: from day to day interactions to larger storytelling presentations.
In tune with the modern culture and constantly evolving media landscape and how people want to engage in it.
Knowledge driven person with an appetite for understanding business and industry drivers, competitor activity, brand intel, consumer insights and emerging consumer trends.
Insightful. Really insightful. Understanding how people tick and why they do what they do. Discovering and sharing fresh perspectives that have the power to change perceptions.
Organized: Trusted to take care of themselves and their responsibilities and clearly communicate with others.
International and/or multi-cultural experience, especially related to the Canadian market, and Luxury brand experience, are a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
