Integrated Media Consultant 

The Richmond News is an award-winning community newspaper looking for an experience Integrated Media Consultant, to join our team of media professionals.  Core responsibilities include the growth of their personal portfolio of advertising clients, new business development, nurture business relationships and to execute a multitude of advertising projects.


Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Understand the current media landscape, traditional and new
  • Successfully deliver compelling presentations for our print and digital solutions
  • Facilitate the development of online strategies for SMB, and medium to large enterprise clients alike
  • Ability to analyze and report on campaign metrics and secure long term business
  • Proactively review client’s digital footprint and digital business practices to enable needs analysis selling
  • Exposure or experience with Challenger Sales mindset
  • Understand best practices as it relates to digital marketing and advertising
  • Understand the competitive landscape and be able to appropriately position our service relative to competitors
  • Maintaining and growing an account list
  • Creating and presenting proposals
  • Educating clients on our full suite of marketing services
  • Meeting clients in person (and Zoom)
  • Prospecting (New business development)


Education, Qualifications and Skills 

  • Previous sales experience
  • Demonstration of strong background in or more of the following: Website development, SEO, SEM, Social Media, Display Advertising, Video and/or Brand Identity
  • Demonstrated sales leadership
  • Google AdWords and Analytics certification is an asset
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Previous work experience in the Richmond business community is an asset
