Billing Manager

Wasserman + Partners is a medium sized independent agency located in Vancouver. Our finance department has an immediate need for a Billing Manager to cover a 9 month leave of absence. Initially we are looking at a part-time situation until the current COVID19 restrictions are loosened. It will convert to a full-time role when the work volume requires that.

We are looking to fill this role ASAP. Salary will be determined based on the experience of the successful candidate and with $50.0K per annum as the bottom of the range. Some group benefits, including paid vacation time will be included. Previous experience in an advertising agency and experience using MediaOcean are must haves.


Finance & Administration Team

Billing Manager

This is a summarized list of key duties that is not cumulative of responsibilities, which may change periodically based on operational and departmental needs.


– Manage assigned list of clients billing / receivables;
– Manage account payables, including: Overhead Expenses, Corporate Credit Card Payment, Production and Media vendor Payables, Cash Requirements, Corporate Tax Payments, GST/PST Payment (including calculation and entry to journal)
– Account reconciliations, including bank, corporate credit card and depreciation
– Approve staff timesheets
– Manage time and pay for Freelancers
– General data entry (Payroll, Standard Monthly entries)
– Maintain accurate fixed asset database
– Complete accounting, administration filing
– Respond to queries from external suppliers
– Respond to queries from internal staff

Experience Requirements: 

– Minimum 1 – 2 years previous experience in an agency in a similar role
– Previous experience / full understanding of MediaOcean
– Ideally general bookkeeping
– Ideally working towards completion of CPA
– Understanding of full accounting cycle
